The Grand Central is a luxury hotel located in the heart of Belfast’s city centre. With a striking 23-story design it’s the tallest hotel in Northern Ireland, offering stunning panoramic views of the entire city from the sky-high Observatory cocktail bar.
Ascot provided the full internal and external signage package as part of a comprehensive refurbishment and renovation.
For the external signage, we implemented the distinctive seahorse branding at low, mid and high level. This included several eight-metre seahorse brand signs, located at the very top of each elevation - requiring specialist access from street level. Around the hotel entrance we also produced bespoke branding elements, with a cast bronze map installed opposite the hotel entrances and a unique poetry artwork.
Within the hotel, we designed, manufactured and installed the full internal wayfinding scheme. To blend with the interior decor, we used a dark timber background with engraved brass tactile text. Finally, we also provided the branding for the hotel’s F&B restaurant and bar areas.
