Wimbledon No.1 Court

Ascot provided a comprehensive internal and external wayfinding scheme for this legendary sporting venue.

“Ascot Signs delivered a quality product at Wimbledon No. 1 Court. Right from the design stage through to installation period on-site Ascot Signs Ltd were professional and hands-on. They always had a can-do attitude, with health and safety and quality at the fore front of their on-site works.“

CHIEF ENGINEER, MAIN CONTRACTOR

Wimbledon’s current No.1 Court was originally constructed in 1997, replacing an earlier 1924 structure of the same name. This world-renowned venue hosts the Wimbledon Championship, the oldest tennis tournament in the world.

As part of a major restoration project, Ascot worked closely with the project team and architect to deliver a well-received bespoke signage package for this landmark scheme. This covered all internal and external wayfinding elements.

The refreshed signage solution takes large volumes of fans from arrival to their seats with ease. Manufacture and installation were completed within restricted timescales on this three-year project ahead of the 2019 tournament.
