Clayton Hotel, Amsterdam
The Amsterdam American Hotel is an iconic landmark located in the heart of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Opened in 1902, this historic building has a rich and storied history as a cultural and social hub. Over the years the hotel has undergone several renovations, including an extensive Art Deco makeover in the 1920s, notably adding the stunning Café Americain, which remains operational today.
A key element of the latest change - from a Hard Rock Hotel to the Clayton brand - was the refresh of the internal and external signage and wayfinding to conform to the Clayton brand standards.
After surveying the existing signage, we designed a full replacement scheme, manufactured each element at our state-of-the-art production facility, and installed the signage using our local installation teams.
