Central Bank of Ireland
Ascot worked closely with HJ Lyons Architects to develop and deliver a precisely tailored and entirely bespoke signage scheme for this high specification landmark project in Dublin City Centre.
Externally this includes custom-made cast brass letters which are situated at the main entrance (both Front and Rear), complimenting the distinctive gold anodised facade.
The signage elements throughout the interior of this architecturally delightful building are designed to be subtle yet effective. Premium quality materials and finishes are utilised, including gold anodised aluminium which is used for all lettering internally. Signage in the key public areas is clear and easy to read – in particular the projecting toilet indicators.
Moving through the building the gold anodised lettering is utilised to identify key areas, with both English and Irish translations being
used throughout. Within the main lift lobby a bespoke feature panel incorporates a cut-away numeral and bespoke gold pattern print. The lift controls are also mounted to these panels, which are situated outside the lifts on each level.
The Room ID signage is designed to accommodate all relevant guidelines for building users, including raised tactile text. The colour contrast and font sizing, also use of symbols, has been developed to be fully compliant with DDA / Part M guidelines. These signs also incorporate the triangular shape pattern which is a distinctive theme throughout the building.
